Instant references to Black Boned Angel, Sunn 0))) and, probably more accurately, Bohren & Der Club Of Gore rise up on first listening to this, but several replays reveal a more subdued and subtle background blur that seeps into your subconscious, where it flutters like a trapped and burning moth at the back of your brain. Ghostly sounding and ominously rumbling with atmospheric threat,
The Creep
is an undeniably effective chunk of subterranean echo, whose quaking aftershock could cause sleepless nights.
